Lancaster Bomber Command
Sanders DFC Out Of The Darkness
Book Artist
James has had a strong interest in WW2 aviation from an early age and it was his devotion to the flying machines that kick-started his artistic development. Having had a background in signwriting and graphic design James now works as an art teacher at Launceston Church Grammar School and continues to be a practicing artist and an active member of the local art community.
James regularly exhibits his work and has featured in various publications and is in many national and international collections. He has won several awards for his art with the Royal Australian Air Force as well as local art prizes and has undertaken many commissions for private collectors. With a focus on a more contemporary approach to his current work James still enjoys indulging in his boyhood fantasies and creating artwork based on the flying machines of WW2.
James is represented by Handmark Gallery in Salamanca and Evandale and for further information and images of his work follow the link to his Facebook page and become a friend.
